Three levels of support

Learn it. Practice it. Test it.

The three modes use the same simulated cab but change how much help you receive. Guidance decreases as you move toward independent performance.

Learn

Guided instruction

Follow clear prompts while becoming familiar with the gauges, controls, system behavior, and procedure order.

Practice

Reduced guidance

Repeat the procedure with less help so you can strengthen recall and recognize where you still hesitate.

Test

No procedural instructions

Perform independently. An incorrect or out-of-order action ends the attempt without revealing the correct next step.

Why Test mode stays quiet

Test mode is meant to check recall, not coach the sequence. It does not display procedural instructions or expose the next correct action after a failed attempt. Return to Learn or Practice when you want instruction before trying again.

What a simulator result means

A completed virtual attempt shows performance inside this educational module only. Requirements can vary by jurisdiction, examiner, vehicle, and training program. Always follow qualified instruction and the current official manual that applies to you.
